Blog Reflection - Week 14

This week was dedicated to completely finishing our music video. Our sole focus this week was adding transitions in appropriate places to enhance the quality of our music video and altering the saturation of shots and changing the colour of each shot to make it even accross the whole music video.

We decided to not include special effects, green screen or bold transitions in our music video because we felt that these would subvert the soul genre drastically. As our song is a mellow love song, we felt that it would be best to include transitions that added a soothing feeling for the audience as the shots moved fluently.

Altering the saturation and finding the most appropriate colour for the shots was time consuming as we had to work with excellent precision when altering the saturation to ensure that the artists skin colour was the same throughout our music video. Finding the right colour for all shots was difficult as we didn't want to make the video look unrealistic and drastically edited. After careful consideration we decided to use a very faint pink tint, as we felt that this suited our song well because the colour connotes the themes in our song of love and romance. Making this tint consistent in all shots was a long process ss we had to make sure that all shots had the same tint manually.

Our deadline was the last lesson this week, my partner and I met this. In this lesson we exported our final music video and uploaded it onto our blogs and YouTube.
